The skeps shown below are available  now. List updated often.
In 2011 I have decided life is too short to make skeps to order and you the customer will have to choose from what I have in stock from now on. I'll try to keep a variety in stock.

Sorry, not many in stock at the moment - I have been ill and unproductive for a while --  and people keep buying them.  I'll be making more when the doctors have finished with me.
Prices as shown.
Postage for skeps is usually about £5 within the UK, depending on weight and dimensions.
A skep normally weighs about 2 kg.
Postage cost is nearer £30 for the rest of the EU and there are size restrictions.
If you live outside the EU, don't ask. There are too many customs regulations about straw and the postage cost is enormous. So if you live in USA, Australia, etc., just follow the instructions and make your own!

I also make up kits of parts that include a started centre section and enough straw and cane for you to use the tool I provide and make your own skep. If you are averagely good with your hands this can be much the most satisfying way to get a skep, but it may not be so neat as mine because I have had lots of practice!  £25 includes all the above and pays the postage too.

Traditional shape in wheat straw and cane. No entrances.

Large swarm-taking skep.  SORRY.  SOLD.

10. Traditional shape. Made from wild oat straw and bound with brambles.
The wild oats give slightly "whiskery" finish.
White ruler is 30cm. Height 35cm, width at rim 30cm. Wall 2cm thick. No entrances cut.
Brambles are the traditional material of choice but a lot of trouble to prepare,
hence the hgher price,  £55 plus post £5

11. Mini skep only 20cm wide and 22cm tall. Wall 2cm thick, wheat straw bound with lapping cane. Entrance cut as shown. No use for honey bees but OK as a decoration,prize or perhaps a nest hole for
bumble bees.  £30 plus post £5

Too shallow to use as a skep with bees.
Dimensions 40cm diameter, 13cm high, wall 2cm thick.  £30.
Shows my "signature" leather M tag which I try to remember to put into every skep.
